We started homeschooling after my then 3.5year boy struggled with his Montessori teacher needing to go away, due to her studies. He loved and bonded with her, so any changes in the class disturbed him. But thank goodness this happened, because it finally pushed us to homeschool. Something I felt God had put on my heart for years. Something I could see, had been planned. I just didn’t have the courage. So our lovely little Montessori school here, gave us the grace to take 2 terms off, whilst we tried homeschooling out. We didn’t return.
In 2013, it is now our 3rd year of homeschooling in Montesorri – something I fell passionately about.

Hi Tracey,
I have previously posted a comment on here. I had forgotten until recently and just saw your response to my comment. I don’t remember seeing an email from you but you may remember me mentioning I have 1.5, 2.5, 5.5 year old little ones and am implementing Montessori principles at home as well as homeschooling although I’ll admin being overwhelmed with trying to do more montessori. WE live in Canberra. We do a lot of practical life and my son loves to read but has low muscle tone and other issues so I try to work on the areas he needs more help at the moment and that’s less academic.
